PRAISE THE LORDSpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: God lives amidst praises. "You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel" (Psalm 22:3).
Almighty God is holy and He is enthroned in the praises of Israel. The word of God says that we are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in us.
When Lord Jesus comes and dwells in you, your life gets transformed. His presence gives you fullness of joy. When filled with this joy, you always keep praising Him. Your heart is filled with thanksgiving and praises.
In times of trouble you may think why should I ever suffer when I lead a righteous life? But when you are filled with His joy, you will start praising Him amidst your troubles. Your problems will no more be a threat to you.
Psalmist David in Psalm 34:1 says, "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth". He was able to praise the Lord at all times because he was filled with the joy of the Lord. Often he had to face hardships in his life yet he remembered to praise God for all the good things he received in his life. He was so close to God that he knew God's heart and when he had to face troubles, he accepted them for His good and thanked him. Because he learned to praise God at all times, he was able to overcome every hurdle in his life and could lead a life pleasing to Him.
God lives amidst praises. He dwelled with David and guided him in his life. He became the great King of Israel. When you praise God at all times, He will be with you and help you to come out of struggles in your life.
"I have set the Lord always before me, because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved" (Psalm 16:8).
When God is at your right hand, you will not be moved at any circumstances. Nothing evil can stand against you.
"In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
Let us learn to give thanks for every blessing that we receive in our life. Let us not forget His benefits. God's will in our life is to praise Him. When we abide by His will, He will dwell in us and will lead us into green pastures.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
I praise Your most holy name and give glory to You. I sing praises to Your, O Lord. For Your name is great and greatly to be praised always. Father, teach me to praise You all the days of my life. Let me feel Your loving presence all through my life. You alone are my Lord and master of my life. All that I have belongs to You. In Jesus mighty name I pray.
