The Lord Who HealsSpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: The Lord will heal you and strengthen you to do mighty things for Him. Beloved! Is sickness tormenting you? Have the doctors forsaken you? Do not be disheartened! The Lord Jesus Christ will heal you and strengthen you to do mighty things for Him.
The Bible says there was a pool called Bethesda in Jerusalem. The pool had five porches in which a great number of sick people, blind, paralysed, crippled and those who had other ailments lay waiting for an angel to come down and stir the water. Whoever stepped into the pool first was healed of his disease. Jesus Christ came to Jerusalem to attend a Jewish festival and when He saw a person at the pool suffering from an infirmity for thirty-eight years, asked him, "Do you want to be made well?" The man explained his helpless condition in getting into the water saying, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me." Then Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk." Instantly the man became well, picked up his bed and started walking! (John 5:1-9).
Beloved! The doctors may have forsaken you and you may have none to care for you. Do not worry! Look up to Lord Jesus Christ and as you wait on Him, He will surely heal you and strengthen you.
“Jesus Christ was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).
Further, Bible says, “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).
Yes, the Lord does not just heal you but also renews your strength to do great and mighty exploits for Him. You will soar high like an eagle; you shall run and not be weary or faint.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
I thank and praise You that You have already paid the price for my healing. Lord, though the doctors have forsaken me, I trust You to heal me. All the treatments have ended in vain. You know the pain and agony that I go through because of this sickness. Lord! Heal me! You loved healing the sick when You were in this world and still love healing the sick. Let the world know that nothing is impossible with You and that You delight in my good health. Strengthen me to do mighty exploits for You. I give You all glory, honour, and praise.
