Sure VictorySpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: Failures are testing times. Cling onto the Lord and He shall turn your failures into victories. Beloved! Do you lament that whatever you do does not prosper but end in failure? Cheer up! Failures are not the end. Do you know that the Lord tests you through your failures? He tests you to know of your love for Him during your failures.
The Bible says that Abraham loved the Lord and was obedient to Him. God blessed him exceedingly with riches, wealth and a hosts of servants. God gave him a son when he was a hundred years old but had to wait for twenty five years for the fulfillment of His promise. When Isaac was a lad, God tested Abraham by asking him to sacrifice his only son, Isaac as an offering on a mountain. He wanted to know whether He remained Abraham’s first love after the birth of his son.
He implicitly obeyed God and was making arrangements to sacrifice Isaac on a mountain. He knew that though he offered his only son as a sacrifice, God would be faithful to His promise and that his descendants would be as countless as the stars of the heaven. When he was about to slay Isaac on the altar, he heard a voice saying, "Abraham, Abraham!" Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me" (Genesis 22:2-12).
God was exceedingly pleased with Abraham who proved that He was his first love in his life. God blessed him greatly and exalted him.
Beloved! The Bible says, “If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small (Proverbs 24:10).
Failures are times of testing. Cling onto the Lord to stay strong in Him. Give Him the first place in your life to show, you love Him. God who blessed Abraham will surely bless you and turn your failures into victories.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
I thank You for enlightening me with Your Word. Fill me with love for You and help me not to give place to things that draw me away from You. When things go wrong or things fail me, help me to stay strong in You. Father, turn all my failures into victories and exalt and bless me. In Jesus’ name I pray.
Amen.
