A Royal Diadem In God’s HandSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: Though the world may despise you, God beholds you as a royal diadem in His hand. You will never lack any good thing in life. Beloved! Do you lament that your life is no worth and that you spend your days in suffering and in tears? Cheer up! Because you are precious in the eyes of God. “You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God” (Isaiah 62:3).
In the Bible we read about Jesus Christ dining at the house of Simon the leper. A woman brought an alabaster of ointment and poured it upon the head of Jesus Christ. He had forgiven her of her sins and she in gratitude honoured Him by pouring an expensive ointment on His head. Jesus was very touched by this and said, "She has done what she could. She has come beforehand to anoint My body for burial. Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her" (Mark 14:3-9).
I know of a lady who would take part in the Esther Prayer Group regularly from the early days of the Esther Prayer Group meeting. Once, she testified that she lived in poverty and would borrow a meagre sum of five rupees to attend these meetings. She did not have a good house to live in. But the Lord heard her prayers and granted her a good house and blessed her with riches and exalted her in life.
The Lord will bless you and you shall not lack in any good thing. "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! (Matthew 7:11).
Beloved! Do not be discouraged and fret when you suffer for Christ. Be steadfast in your faith in Him. Honour and exalt Him during such times. All your sufferings and every thing you do for Him will never go in vain. He will surely bless and exalt you in life because you are a royal diadem in the hand of God.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
Though the world may despise me as a worthless person, You, the Almighty and My Creator behold me as a royal diadem in Your hand! Strengthen me and help me to grow in You. Give me grace to be firm in You so that I do not stumble when I suffer for You. Father, help me live a life that glorifies You. Let your blessings abound in my life. In Jesus’ name I pray.
Amen.
