Many times we face disappointment, failures and defeat in life but when we seek the Lord and cling to Him, He will turnaround the circumstances and cause us to prosper.
“We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).
Once, there lived a writer called William Saroyan. When young, he went through hard times in life. With no money and heart broken, he sent a telegram with little money that he had to a rich relative asking him to lend some money. Soon, Saroyan received a reply to his telegram saying, “Have your head examined!” He was puzzled and deeply hurt by those words because he (Saroyan ) expected that his relative would help him in his financial distress. As he began to ponder over those words, he understood the meaning the words conveyed in the reply. His relative meant, “You do not need any loan; use your brain and you will get a solution". Saroyan took it as a challenge and wrote a story out of his imagination and published it. Soon, he became rich and famous.
When we cling to the Lord firmly, He will strengthen us in our times of pain and agony. Everything works for good for those who love Him. He will turnaround the circumstances and cause us to live in victory.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
I seek You to help me in my troubled times. Help me to cling to You firmly at all times. I praise and thank You that You cause me to override hard times in victory. There is no defeat for me in You. Let Your mercy and goodness abound in my life. In Jesus’ name I pray.
