Today we shall meditate on the power of agreeing in prayer. Yes, there is power in agreement of prayer.
To receive answers for our prayers, it is necessary that His will and our will go hand in hand. Amos said, “Can two walk together unless they are agreed?" (Amos 3:3).
Yes, the prophet speaks of a single mind and oneness of spirit. When your heart and the heart of our Lord Jesus Christ unite, you start receiving answers directly from God. God has established His will for us even before establishing the foundations of the world. When we submit and flow into the will of God, His power and glory will be manifested mightily in and through us.
If only Jesus Christ had not submitted to the will of the Father, we would not have salvation or deliverance from sin. We would have been be condemned and judged by the law.
Moreover Jesus said, “I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be for them by my Father in Heaven” (Matthew 18:19).
I John 5:14,16 says, “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that we ask anything according to His will, He hears. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”
So when you submit to the will of God, His plan starts working in your life as said in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Yes, my friend! When you give your heart to God, He formulates a good plan for you, plan full of hopes and promises for a prosperous future. Submit to the will of God and blessings will follow you. God will make you a channel of blessing to others.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
I thank You for Your Word. Father, Give me an obedient heart to do Your will because You delight in obedience more than in sacrifice. I submit to Your will totally. Lord, You used ordinary people who submitted to Your will and did mighty works through them. Use me likewise to do mighty exploits for You. In Jesus name I pray.
