TRUST GODSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: God says, “I was bruised for your sake. The stripes are the signs of my divine love for you.” God sent His only begotten son to be bruised so that you can live a happy and peaceful life in this world.
The Bible says that for our transgressions He was wounded and for our iniquities He was bruised. By His stripes we are healed of every sin, sorrow and sickness (Isaiah 53:5).
Our Lord Jesus Christ appeared as the one bruised and as the majestic Lord seated on the heavenly throne. Isaiah reveals his vision thus “I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims who cried to one another,” Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory.” The temple was filled with the glory of God (Isaiah 6:1-3).
At the same time in Revelation 1:20, we read that the great and mighty King stretches forth His nail pierced hands with the stripes, holding seven stars in His right hand, walking in the midst of the seven golden lampstands.
This great Lord tells you, “Dear son/daughter, “I was bruised for your sake. The stripes are the signs of my divine love for you.”
The resurrected Jesus, before He ascended to the heaven, exhibited His stripes to His disciples. When the other disciples narrated to Thomas, he was not able to believe and he said, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe” Jesus thus appeared to him again, showed him His stripes and said, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” (John 20:25-29).
When you believe that the Lord had been bruised for you, He will bless you to live a happy and peaceful life.
Dear friend, today all that you need to do is to just confess saying, “Lord! You had been bruised for my sins. Please cleanse me from all unrighteousness.” He will surely cleanse you from all your sins and you will receive the peace and joy from Him.
Prayer:
Almighty God,
You are the Mighty King holding the seven stars in Your right hand and walking in the midst of the seven golden lampstands. I believe that You have sent Your only begotten Son to be bruised for my sins. Cleanse me from all my sins and grant me today the blessings that I may live a happy and peaceful life. May I seek You diligently everyday.
