ASK AND RECEIVESpeaker: Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran Gist: Ask and it shall be given. Everyone who asks will receive. Our Lord Jesus Christ who manifested Himself in flesh for our sake on the cross will surely offer us all that we need on this earth for a peaceful and comfortable life.
Once, Jesus Christ enquired His disciples whether they lacked anything. They responded that they lacked nothing (Luke 22:35). When Jesus Christ shook hands with His disciples before leaving this earth he told them, “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it” (John 14:14).
Are you saying that your prayers are unanswered? Do not dismay. God had given His promise which says, “Ask and it shall be given. Everyone who asks receives.” Therefore, ask Him today and say, “I will not leave this website without getting the answers to all my prayers.”
Once I completed my degree, I was in search of a job in Chennai. So, I happened to stay with a family known to me. Every morning, I used to leave the house in search of a job. In the evening when I returned home, the little children of that family will receive me affectionately and would enquire, “Uncle, did you get any job today?”
With much frustration I used to answer “No”. A month passed by in this way. One Sunday, when I went to the church service with them, there I noticed a glass painting depicting the scene of Lord Jesus Christ crying and praying in the garden of Gethsemane.
As I was looking at that picture thoughtfully, a question rose in my heart, “Such agony for the Lord of lords?” “….though He was rich, yet for our sakes He became poor, that we through His poverty might become rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9). This verse came to my mind and I felt a strong faith taking shape in me.
I knelt down and began to pray.” Lord, I thank You for You have already passed through the path which I am passing now. I firmly believe that surely You will get me a good job.” My prayer was soaked in tears. I returned home with a divine peace filling my heart. After two days, I received a letter from my father saying, “My son, come home immediately, you have got a job in a bank.” I was overjoyed. I joined the job. The Lord met my need in a miraculous way and made me rejoice.
The Lord will meet all your needs also and will make you glad, when you sincerely ask Him in your prayer.
Dear friend, when you carry every problem unto His feet in prayer, He will definitely give you whatever you ask of Him. He will forgive your trespasses and transgressions. He will cast aside all your evil habits and create a new heart in you besides solving all your personal problems. He will meet all your needs.
Prayer:
Almighty God,
You will never allow me to lack any good thing in my life. I believe that You will meet all my needs. I just cling on to Your feet for receiving all the answers to my prayers. Grant me Your goodness according to Your riches in glory. I claim all the blessings that You have in store for me this day
In the matchless and mighty name of Your son Jesus Christ my Lord, I pray.
