FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: You will have a close fellowship with God, when you read His word. You will have a close fellowship with God, when you read His word diligently.
Jesus Christ said, “My father and I are one” (John 10:30). He went up on the mountain to pray with His Father (Matthew 14:23). This shows that Jesus had a fellowship with His Father everyday. Similarly, you can also have a fellowship with Him according to 1 John 1:3 “…..our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.”
How to have a close fellowship with God?
When you read the word of God individually and also together as a family, you will have a close fellowship with Him. Psalm 119:103 says, “How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth.” Therefore, when you read His word with involvement and taste the sweetness of His word, the divine presence will lead you.
Jesus overcame every temptation with the word of God and triumphed over the devil (Matthew 4:4). His word will guide you also in all your difficult situations.
Are you passing through trials and tribulations in your life? Do not be disheartened, read the word of God diligently. He will bring you the appropriate word to face all the challenges. You can use the word of God as a weapon and win the battle.
When my son, Bro.Paul Dhinakaran was six years old, I used to teach him about the Bible. But, still he was far away from God. One day the Lord spoke to him, “Paul, I place before you two different paths in this world. One is the path of a fish. The other is the path of a crab. You might have watched a fish moving straight in the water and a crab tracing a crooked path in the sand on the sea shore. I place these two paths before you. Which of these are you going to choose in your life? If you go by the straight path of the fish I would bless you. But if you prefer the crooked path of the crab, I cannot help you."
Days passed by. During his young age, he moved away from God without having the fellowship with Him. We prayed for seven years. We could not observe any change in him. Atlast, I began to fast every Tuesday and prayed for him. The Lord touched him at the right time through the word of God, given by his father, Bro.Dhinakaran. From that day onwards, the word of God made him to establish a very close fellowship with God. Today, the Lord has filled him with the anointing of the Holy Spirit and using him mightily in His ministry.
Do you like to have a close fellowship with God? Just cry unto Him and say, “Lord, forgive my sins. I would like to have a close fellowship with you.” Then the Lord will guide you and make you to join with Him.
Dear friend, when you read the word of God, you can have a close fellowship with Him. The word of God will transform you and He will use you mightily.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Please surround me with Your perfect grace and mercies for this day. Help me to read the word of God so that Your word will guide me and I will have a close fellowship with You. Make my face shine in this world and use me mightily. May those who surround me see Your light shining on my face and be cheered up now and forever. I commit this day into Your care.
