FRUITFUL BOUGH Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: The Lord wants to transform you into a watered garden and a spring of water. So, commit your life unto Him. God will transform you into a fruitful bough planted near a stream, when you commit yourself to Him.
In the Bible, we read about Joseph, who committed and trusted God amidst of all his trials and tribulations in his life. The Lord was with him and elevated him. God blessed him and his family. When Jacob, his father, was nearing to his death, he called his sons and their offspring to be blessed. He said, “Joseph is a fruitful bough, a fruitful bough by a well; His branches run over the wall” (Genesis 49:22).
When a plant is planted near a stream, it will be fertile. Similarly, Joseph stood steadfast in the Lord and the afflictions in his life were set right. God loved him and prospered his life. God will transform you also into a watered garden and a spring of water whose waters do not cease (Isaiah 58:11). So, stand steadfast in Him.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7,8)
You will be blessed according to the following Bible verses, when you keep your trust upon the Lord. He will be with you and guide you everyday.
You will be a vessel of honour according to 2 Timothy 2:21 “….he will be a vessel for honour, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.”
You will be a vessel full of grace of God according to Romans 9:23 “He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory.” And you will be an overflowing vessel (Psalm 23:5).
Dear friend, when you commit your life and trust God, He will transform you into a fruitful bough planted near a stream. Not only that, He will transform your lowly bodies to His glorious body (Philippians 3:21).
Prayer:
Almighty God,
I thank You for Your presence which surrounds me everyday. Even today, transform me into a fruitful bough, a blessing to me and to others. I commit my life unto You, help me to be Your child. Whatever be the trials and tribulations, give Your grace to trust You at all times. Lead me to live a blessed life like Joseph.
