FELLOWSHIP WITH GODSpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: Be strengthened in the word of God and He will reveal His plan for you. The Lord will speak to you and will reveal His plan for you through His word. When you read and claim His promises, you will be blessed.
He will also strengthen your faith, when you hold on to His promises. “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)
During my college days, I lived a life where there was no place for God. My mother used to advise me to read the Bible and abide by it. I was confident about myself that I knew every story of the Bible, so I was not interested to read it. But, she continued to advise me. In the midst of her compulsion, I gave an impression to her that I was reading the Bible but, I was interested only in my story books.
But when I commited my life to God, I longed to hear the voice of God. I began to read the Bible with all piety and reverence. Every morning I prayed saying, “Lord, speak to me through Your word and shower me with Your blessings, which is in store for me through the verses I read today.”
Everyday God showed me the way to pray and read the Bible. Sometimes the Lord spoke through His word saying, “I will give you the wisdom required for that day . It gave me the boldness for that day. sometimes it may also be a word of warning which protects me from going astray. I just hold on firmly to it. I could feel that verse entering my heart. The word strengthens me everyday and I just plead to Him to bless me according to the verses.
Similarly, the Lord is also waiting to pour out His blessings and to exalt you everyday in your spiritual life and in the earthly life. When you hold on to the promises of the Lord and just pray as “Lord bless me today according to your word.” Your prayers will be heard and the word will build your life.
“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” (John 15:7)
Dear friend, when you start reading the word of God, the Lord will speak to you and reveal His plan for you through His word. Hold on to His promises and pray daily. He will listen to your prayers and bless you abundantly.
Prayer:
Abba Father,
I praise You for all the promises which You have in store for me. Help me to claim those promises and hold on to them whenever I face the trials in my life. Speak to me through Your word and bless me according to Your promises. Strengthen my faith so that I may not fall in any situations. Guard me and guide me throughout this day.
