EVERLASTING LOVESpeaker: Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran Gist: Do not be disheartened, because God has already gone before you in the path of suffering. God loved us with an everlasting love and came down to this earth to bear all our sorrows and curses on the cross for us.
He offered Himself as a sacrifice in order to make us righteous. “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
One day, a man was passing by a street in Houston in United States of America. On the way, he saw a beautiful garden in a house. He was captivated for a moment by the beauty of the flowers. An innocent little girl was touching and playing with those flowers. The man who was passing by noticed that a poisonous snake was slowly nearing to the little girl. He stood baffled and fear gripped him. He could not attempt to bring her into notice.
Finally, he decided to leap between the girl and the snake. His attempt to save the girl became successful but the snake induced the poison in him. At that time, the girl’s father peeped into the garden. He was shocked to see the man bitten by the snake and rushed him to the hospital. The little girl’s life was saved but he had to suffer for long.
Whenever the girl’s parents saw the man with the scar on his body due to the snake bite, they would say, “Oh, how much he has loved our daughter; the bruises on his body are for our daughter isn’t it?”
Similarly, Jesus Christ had already gone before us, the path of suffering. In Galatians 3:13, we read that He bore on Himself all our curses and the powers of darkness that are brought by the devil hindering us from enjoying the blessings offered to us by God.
So, let us brush aside all our grief and move forward comforting ourselves saying, "My Lord Jesus Christ is walking before me bearing all my curses and sorrows on the cross. I have nothing to fear or worry."
Dear friend, Lord Jesus Christ loves you with an everlasting love. Hence whatever curses that are set against you by the evil, can never destroy you. Nothing can take away your joy and peace. So be happy and rejoice!

Loving Lord Jesus Christ,
Thank you for Your everlasting love. You have already bore all our sorrows and curses on the cross for me. You are a Mighty God who will destroy all the evil powers which comes against me. Help me to lead a life pleasing to You. Increase the hope within me that I will receive everything according to Your plan.
All glory, honour and praises belong to You alone.
