CHRIST THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEFSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: Face your life, in the mighty and matchless name of the Lord Jesus Christ. "I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people." (2 Corinthians 6:16, 18) For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." Romans 8:15
My dear Friend, because of you, your entire family will be blessed of the Lord. You can call the Almighty God your Father and be proud about it. He is very close to you. In my home, as a family we delight in the presence of the Lord.
My father-in-law inculcated the habit of seeking the Lord together as a family, early in the morning at sharp six. You, who are a child of God, please do that in your family life also. If you obey the commands of God, He will be pleased to stay with you. I have experienced this in my family life for the past forty-five years. Surely the Lord will walk and dwell in your midst.
The Lord certified a certain king that he was after His own heart. In other words, he did exactly what the Lord wanted him to do (Acts 13:22). You also can receive such a blessing. How did that king receive such a blessing? (Psalms 78:70-71). King David was just a shepherd boy but in his heart he loved the Lord very dearly.
My dear Friend, do you have Jesus Christ in your heart? God wants to dwell in your heart today. King David considered the Almighty God as his Shepherd. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want (Psalms 23:1).
Long ago, the Israelites fought with the Philistines. One day, a Philistine giant named Goliath challenged any man of Israel to fight against him single handedly. The king and the army men of Israel shivered. The handsome young boy David came there. On seeing the people of Israel trembling before the giant, what did he do?
Then David said to the Philistine, "You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, THE GOD OF THE ARMIES OF ISRAEL, whom you have defied. (1 Samuel 17:45)
My dear Friend, you also say the same thing. Look at the devil that is bringing worries and cares into your life and say, “I come against you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe (Proverbs 18:10).
Don’t be worried when you are facing problems in life. Just look at the problem and say, “I am coming against you in the mighty and matchless name of my Lord Jesus Christ.”
Prayer:
Loving Lord,
Your name alone is a strong tower and a great protection for me. Help me not to be afraid of the cares and concerns of this world but to face them in Your marvelous and magnificent name. You are my Shepherd and I firmly believe that I shall lack no good thing in my life.
All glory, honour and praises belong to You.
Amen. |
