AT THE NAME OF JESUSSpeaker: Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran Gist: At the name of Jesus all demonic powers must bow. On hearing the name Jesus Christ, everything should bow. Angels in heaven bow and come rushing to help us in this earth. Every knee of man, of those who are in hell and every devil should bow before the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Philippians 2:10;Hebrews 1:6) How could this happen? Jesus Christ is none other than God in flesh.
God humbled Himself, descended on this earth as a lowly person for you. God allowed His body to be broken for you. (Philippians 2:7; Isaiah 53:4,5).
All the sicknesses, infirmities, curses and bitterness of death of everyone were borne by Him. He tasted death for the sake of everyone because He loves everyone. Always remember that Jesus Christ gave His life for you (Galatians 2:20). Therefore, do not be discouraged or depressed because surely the Lord will listen to your prayers.
After having crushed His body, they placed it in a cave. The entrance was closed with a solid rock for a lid and sealed. (Matthew 27:66) Mighty men of valour stood as guards keeping watch over His tomb. Their only intention being “Jesus Christ should not escape.” On the third day, the power of God descended and He rose again from the dead (Revelation 1:17-18).
No more death. The Lord Jesus Christ has the keys of both heaven and hell. He destroyed every sin, curse and the works of satan. He also tasted death for everyone. Lovingly He says, “None of these can touch My children. I can deliver anyone who passes through this valley of weeping.” He is alive and wants to help everyone because He died for everyone. Therefore He must bless you today. He listens to your prayers and removes every curse. He stands close to you asking, “Can I do anything for you?” No demonic power can stop you from receiving God’s blessings today.’
I read the life history of a man of God who comes from a city called Mysore in South India. Initially he was a magician who drank water from a skull. He and his followers had snakes that were sleeping under the influence of drugs in their pockets. If anyone troubled them, they would throw these snakes upon them. People trembled on seeing him.
One day a young man approached him. “Thottannagaru! I need a favour from you. There lives a very beautiful girl whom I desire to marry. Unfortunately she is married to another person. Please do some mantra and bring her to me.” Thottanna agreed quoting a sum of money as fee for the work. The fees being paid, he kept waiting for the full moon day. On a full moon day, he sat on a tomb and prayed with a lemon fruit on his hand chanting a particular mantra hundred times. Normally when he chants the mantra once after repeating hundred times, a demonic power is supposed to bring the woman. This time no demonic power came but a light from heaven appeared and He saw a beautiful face in it. A voice was heard. “Thottannna! I am Jesus. The name of the woman against whom you are doing this mantra is Elizabeth. Elizabeth is My child and you cannot do anything against her. Your mantras cannot touch her. On the other hand, I am making you My prisoner. From this day you are going to be My son and you will serve Me.”
Thottanna trembled. He wept. His life transformed and be became a mighty man of God. Remember this. Jesus Christ said, “Thottanna! You cannot touch Elizabeth because she is My child. I am the Almighty God. She is under My control. Every knee must bow at the utterance of My name.”
All our sins, sicknesses, diseases, mental agony and sorrow must bow before Him today. All demonic powers must bow before Jesus Christ.
Prayer:
Almighty God,
Thank You for giving us the permission to use Your name. You promised that using Your name we will cast out demons. Right now I use Your mighty and magnificent name – the name of my Saviour. Lord in Your name I bind every satanic power, spirit of blindness, deafness, depression, fear, infirmities, sicknesses and diseases. In Your name I rebuke these spirits. You have purchased me with Your own blood. The devil has no authority over me. In the name of Jesus Christ I rebuke every evil power and curse them forever. Let Your Holy Spirit come upon me and set me free. Help me feel it right now. Let all the blessings You desire come into my life.
