THE ONE WHO CROWNS YOU IS THE CROWN

Speaker: Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran

Gist: God’s grace is on your head as a crown and God is that crown.

God crowns you with His loving kindness and mercy (Psalms 103:4). On the one hand the Lord crowns the year, that is all the three hundred and sixty five days with goodness and on the other He crowns you and me also. The mercy of the Lord endures forever (Psalms 136:1).

There is no end for the mercy of our Lord and it is new every morning. (Lamentations 3:22-23)

I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me (Proverbs 8:17). When you seek the Lord early in the morning, He puts a crown of goodness on your head. The day may come packed with evil, trouble and anxieties to meet you but the grace and mercy of the Almighty God rests on your head and thereby you are protected.

Several years ago, the consecration ceremony of a certain bishop was scheduled to take place on a particular day at ten o’ clock in the morning. Some people who were against him becoming the bishop approached the court and asked for a stay order so that he may not be ordained as the bishop. As you are aware, the court normally begins to function only after ten o’ clock in the morning. Therefore, they kept waiting outside the court. In the meantime, the other bishops gathered together and ordained this particular person as a bishop by placing a crown on his head at eight o’ clock in the morning. At twelve o’ clock, having received the stay order, the enemies rushed into the church premises only to witness the person seated as a bishop with the crown on his head. Once again they ran back to the judge who pronounced, “A bishop is always a bishop. If a crown has been placed on his head then nothing could be done. ”

The same thing will happen to you. Troubles, evil, problems, witchcraft and other disgusting things may come but if you have met God early in the morning, when they meet God, He would say, “Hey! I have already put my crown of goodness upon his/her head.”

My dear Friend if you have the anointing of the Almighty God then the spirit of God – called the spirit of grace comes upon you. “..for the consecration of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the LORD” (Leviticus 21:12).
When God baptizes you with the Holy Spirit and descends on you it is a crown on you. It is then a matter of indescribable joy. (Hebrews 10:29)

The Lord Himself is the Holy Spirit. When you have the Holy Spirit, there will be a crown on your head. God will be a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty on your head. You and I may not see that but it is visible to the devil. (2 Corinthians 3:17 Isaiah 62:3)

When St. Paul asked the Lord to remove a particular thorn in his flesh, Jesus Christ told him, “My grace is sufficient for you. Paul! My grace is on your head and I am that crown. When I am with you, nothing can by any means hurt you. You will overcome everything.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

My dear Friend, always remember that you have a crown of kindness and mercy upon your head. The crown of the anointing oil Who is none other than God Himself.

Prayer

Almighty God,

Father, I thank You for placing a crown of Your loving kindness, mercy and glory upon my head. I praise You for reminding me that the evil one cannot harm me when he sees me wearing this crown. Help me to get up early in the morning and diligently seek You to get this crown for that day. I understand that Your grace is sufficient for me to carry out the duties that are entrusted in my hands today. Prosper all my efforts and strengthen me to do Your will.

In Jesus name I pray.

Amen
