I AM THAT I AM

Speaker: Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran

Gist: Man is subject to change but Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. There is no time span or limit for Him.

There is no question of yesterday, today and tomorrow but all the three hundred and sixty five days in this year and throughout your lifetime God is going to be with you always.
“Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen” (Matthew 28:20).

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8). There is no time span or limit for Him. When the Almighty God appeared to prophet Moses, Moses asked Him, “What is Your name?” He responded, “I am that I am.”

What are the virtues of this person who calls Himself as “I am that I am”?

"I live forever” (Deuteronomy 32:40).

'I am the First and I am the Last; besides Me there is no God. (Isaiah 44:6)

Jesus Christ came in the form of a man into this world to save the sinners.. (1 Timothy 3:16; Matthew 1:23) What did He say? "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last," (Revelation 1:11;17)

Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:25)

If He is going to be with you what will happen?

“The God who has fed me all my life long to this day” (Genesis 48:15) Here the word ‘fed’ means much more than just feeding with food. It means complete care.

"For I am the LORD, I do not change (Malachi 3:6) Man is subject to change.

The Psalmist says, "All men are liars" (Psalms 116:11) because today he utters one thing and the following day something totally different. Take an example for such an attitude from the Biblical character Laban who happens to be the uncle of Jacob. Laban said to Jacob, "Please stay, if I have found favor in your eyes, for I have learned by experience that the Lord has blessed me for your sake" (Genesis 30:27). Jacob was pleased with the words of his uncle whose faced shined very brightly.

Later on, Jacob heard the words of Laban's sons, saying, "Jacob has taken away all that was our father's, and from what was our father's he has acquired all this wealth." And Jacob saw the countenance of Laban, and indeed it was not favorable toward him as before. (Genesis 31:1-2). Do not worry. So are most of the people on this earth.

On the contrary, trust and look to the Lord Almighty who lives forever without time limit and surely He will meet all your needs. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. (Psalms 118:8).

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

I confess that You are the same now and forever and that You are not bound by time limits. Therefore, I trust You and beg You to bless me this day with Your protection. Abide with me always and guide every step that I take today. May my efforts prosper in Your holy name and receive a hundred fold reward.

In Jesus’ name I pray.

Amen
