HIS SPIRIT ON ALL FLESH Speaker: Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran Gist: God will come in your midst, bless and fill you with His Holy Spirit. Once you are filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, then all the other blessings will follow. The Lord also cleanses us through the Holy Spirit. In Romans 15:16, "......sanctified by the Holy Spirit." In 2 Corinthians 5:17, the Bible says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." We as a family are being sanctified by the Holy Spirit and are used by the Lord Jesus Christ.
I would like to share with you as to how I received the Holy Spirit. Before receiving the Holy Spirit, I faced many problems in life. I lost my mother whom I loved very dearly just after six months of my marriage. I wept because my mother had been everything to me. Having been blessed with four children, she brought all of us in the love of God and encouraged us to read the Bible and pray everyday. When I lost my mother I thought that there was no one to love me in this world.
It is true that I had my husband, my father-in-law and mother-in-law who were like my father and mother to me. But even then at the thought of my mother, I would cry out to God. I asked, "Why should this happen to me?" Then I pleaded, "Lord please fill me with Your Holy Spirit." After my marriage I saw my father-in-law, mother-in-law and my husband pray for very long hours in a kneeling posture. As the Holy Spirit comes and fills them they would rejoice in the spirit. On seeing them rejoice, I also asked the Lord to fill me with the anointing of the Holy Spirit because I did not want to cry anymore. I wanted this joy in my heart.
In the year 1992, I lost my brother also. Then my father passed away. I lost three members of my family. In the year 1992, I attended the Institute of Power Ministry and there I cried out to the Lord saying, "I will not leave You unless You bless me with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. I begged and clung to Him. The more I asked for His blessings, many were the problems that entered my life. The loving Lord saw my tears and in that Power Ministry He graciously anointed me with the Holy Spirit. Only after that joy came into my life.
I then experienced the love of all my family members through the love of Bro. D.G.S. Dhinakaran, Sis. Stella Dhinakaran and my husband, Bro. Paul Dhinakaran. Not only that, the Lord blessed me with many sisters and brothers in Him to love me very dearly. After I received the Holy Spirit, God's love consoled me. Now God has blessed me with three lovely children Sam, Sharon and Sweety to love me. As I see them being used by the Lord, I feel so happy.
On seeing us being filled by the Holy Spirit they have also asked the Lord to fill them during the family prayer. God saw their thirst for the anointing of the Holy Spirit and Sam and Sharon received the anointing of the Holy Spirit. As a family God has filled us with His Holy Spirit. Now Sweety has also started to ask the Lord to fill her with the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
Dearly beloved, God has brought you to be sanctified individually and also as a family by the power of His Holy Spirit. The Lord promises to anoint everyone with the Holy Spirit. God has said in Acts 2:17, 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.' In the same way, dearly beloved, God is going to use you as a vessel of honor by filling you by His Holy Spirit.
Once a certain brother told his testimony. Having failed in his higher secondary school exam, he idled his time consuming alcohol near the beach. At that time a Jesus Calls Prayer Festival was held in Chennai. He had no intention of hearing the word of God but his mind was occupied only about consuming alcohol.
My father, Bro. D.G.S. Dhinakaran, preached the word of God powerfully and this young man kept drinking alcohol sitting in a far away place. Suddenly even without his knowledge a few words entered his soul, those words transformed him completely and he gave his heart to the Lord.
After accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and having been filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, he saw a sea of change in his life. Previously, he had been working as a helper in a particular company but after receiving the Holy Spirit, God raised him step by step and made him the owner of that company. Since then he prayed daily being filled by the Holy Spirit. God gave him revelations also and through him consoled many people. He visited many places on account of promotional work for his company. Wherever he went, he began to preach God's word to so many people with the revelation given by God and consoled them. Thus, the Lord used him in the ministry. He, who had been an empty vessel earlier, became a vessel of honour after receiving the Holy Spirit. God blessed him abundantly.
In the same way, dearly beloved, you may be without a job in your hand or perhaps be broken hearted or say that you are an empty vessel. Whatever your position may be, today God will fill you with His Holy Spirit. Surely He is going to make you a vessel of honor. God will come in your midst, bless and fill you with His Holy Spirit. Once you are filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, then all the other blessings will follow.
Prayer
Almighty God,
I praise and thank You because You are not a partial God. You promised to pour out Your Spirit upon all flesh. Clinging to this promise, I beg You to grant me the anointing of the Holy Spirit this day and make me a vessel of honour for Your glory. Let the old things of my heart pass away and make me a new creation by renewing a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from Your presence and take not Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of Your salvation and make me happy.
