TOTAL TRUST

Gist: Thus Ruth was blessed with a beautiful Godly generation. God gloriously blessed Naomi who was indeed a very broken hearted woman. In the same way God will bless us also abundantly.

Naomi and Ruth committed their lives into the hands of the Lord and trusted Him completely for everything. What did God do? If you read Isaiah 30:21, "Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, 'This is the way, walk in it,' whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left." He showed Naomi a way and asked her to walk in it.

Perhaps you are much troubled not knowing the way you ought to take. Trust in the Lord completely and surely He will show you the way. He would say, "My daughter\son, I will come with you. I will go before you and bless you abundantly." The Bible says in Ephesians 3:20, "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us."

Naomi cared about the future of Ruth. She met Boaz and told all about her daughter-in-law, Ruth. Boaz testified Ruth as a good-natured woman and he came forward to marry her. Despite Ruth being a Moabite woman and a widow, Boaz was willing to accept Ruth as his wife although another man who also happened to be a closed kin had refused to do so. Boaz married Ruth and their family life blossomed with the help of God Almighty. Naomi rejoiced greatly over this.

If you read Isaiah 61:9, "Their descendants shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people. All who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the posterity whom the Lord has blessed." The Lord blessed Ruth with a boy baby and they named him Obed. If you read Matthew 1:1-5, there we see the genealogy of Jesus Christ. In the fifth verse we read about Boaz, Ruth and the boy Obed. Thus Ruth was blessed with a beautiful Godly generation. God gloriously blessed Naomi who was indeed a very broken hearted woman. In the same way God will bless us also abundantly.

There lived a widow who had many young children. Her husband was everything to her. She like Naomi trusted totally in the Lord for everything. Committing her life into the hands of the loving Lord Jesus Christ, she focused her eyes only upon Him. She cried, "Lord Jesus You alone are my only hope, please take care of my children and their future." She and her children prayed quite often with one accord and many a times she fasted and prayed seeking God's help in all her endeavors.

One day she set up a kitchen garden. God blessed her efforts. She brought the first fruit of the labour of her hands and gave it to a servant of God and asked for God to bless her. That servant of God prayed fervently for God's blessings to come upon that family. That woman brought up all her children in a wonderful way and they rose to great heights. They looked after their mother with great care until a ripe old age. Truly she received a very blessed life from the Lord's hand.

Always keep the Lord before you. Just as king David says in Psalms 16:8, "I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved." If you look up unto the Lord for everything you shall not be moved. According to Psalm 145:18 and Deuteronomy 4:7 always focus your eyes upon the Lord and trust Him in all that you do and surely He will bless you exceedingly abundantly more than what you can comprehend.

Prayer

Loving Lord,

With my heart filled with thanksgiving, I praise You because You alone are my only hope and trust. Help me to focus my eyes always upon You in all circumstances. Bless all my endeavors and grant me a blessed life this day.

All glory, honour and power belongs to You alone. In Jesus' name I pray.

Amen.
