ARISE AND SHINE!Speaker: Sam, Sharon & Sweety Gist: The Lord enables us to shine throughout this world. God's light in us dispels the darkness in others. The Lord's light shines through us and also makes others shine for Him. We are the children of our dear Lord Jesus Christ. Most of us are afraid of darkness. There is a proverb, which says that even if darkness surrounds everywhere, the light from a small candle can dispel that darkness. Darkness cannot overcome the light from that insignificant candle. Likewise today we may be surrounded by darkness like sin, disease, ignorance and many more such as this. You need not fear for there is a good news which we find in the Bible as told in Isaiah 60:1, wherein it is written, "Arise, shine for your light has come." According to this verse, God is going to make His light shine upon you. He is going to remove every fear and darkness that is tormenting you. Therefore it is a time to be happy now.
The Lord enables us to shine throughout this world.
When the light of our Lord falls upon us He makes us arise and shine for Him. Firstly, He enables us to shine throughout this world. Whenever you sacrifice something for the glory of God, God would surely see your sacrificial act and keep you as a source of blessing for the mankind. Although we (Sam, Sharon and Sweety Paul Dhinakaran) like other children study, do our homework yet we set aside whatever time is available to spread the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ and therefore God is using us mightily for His glory. He enables us to offer prayers, sing songs, say Scripture portions, reach out to the people through T.V. programmes, attend prayer festivals and encourage the people and so on. What a mighty God we have who has made us arise and shine even at this young age for His glory. You might think that you are an insignificant person but when you ask the Lord to make His light shine upon you, He will surely enable you also to arise and shine for His glory throughout the world like a little lamp. Just say, "Lord, You have told me to arise and shine for Your glory. Give me the grace to receive Your light everyday. Grant me assurance of the fact that Your light is with me wherever I go. May all the problems that come my way be removed in Your mighty name."
God's light in us dispels the darkness in others.
Secondly, the Light of our Lord that shines through us will dispel the darkness that is found in others. Isaiah 61:1-3 says, "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."
As you are aware, many have received mighty miracles through the fervent prayers offered by Bro. D.G.S. Dhinakaran, Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, Sis. Stella Dhinakaran and Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran. A certain pastor named Sebastian works as an officer in a very good concern and also ministers unto the Lord whenever possible. The darkness called disease surrounded him. The medical world could not identify the cause for that disease. He used to feel so cold even after two blankets were wrapped over his body. He vomited profusely and at times coagulated blood came out through his nostrils and mouth. Whatever little intake of water was thrown out at once. He became totally dehydrated. Almost in the threshold of his deathbed he laid down deprived of even a ray of hope. Being a regular viewer of the Jesus Calls' 'Hour of Hope" programme he happened to hear Sharon Paul Dhinakaran say that God added fifteen years to the life of king Hezekiah pointing her hand towards him. This message was as if directed from the Lord to Pastor Sebastian through His dear daughter Sharon Paul Dhinakaran. Immediately after this, he received an unknown strength and drank the gruel that his wife gave him and became normal. A new life came into him and a new light shone upon his face. The Lord's light dispelled the darkness of disease which tormented him. Today he stands a witness to the glory of God. The Lord who enabled him taste this miracle will do mighty things for all those who call and trust on His name. Our Lord is a Mighty God. All praise to His wonderful name.
The Lord's light shines through us and also makes others shine for Him.
Many children have been greatly touched and benefited by the programmes offered by us (Sam, Sharon and Sweety Paul Dhinakaran). Innumerable children have received the light of the Lord which shines through us and they in turn shine for God's glory. A few among them namely Princy, Richard, Jennifer, Sheba, Saroon, Sion and Rachel shared how they were much benefitted through our programmes. They explained in detail as to how God is enabling them to shine for His glory.
Prayer
Loving Lord,
I praise You for being the light of this world. Dispel the darkness that is found in me and help me shine throughout this world for your glory. Make me a guiding lamp for those in darkness. Through Your light help me to take away the darkness found in all those whom I meet this day and also help them to shine for Your glory.
