REDEMPTION OF LOVE

Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran

Gist: The Lord Jesus wants to offer you a life filled with joy and happiness. "You be one minded, be of mutual love and be of understanding hearts and fulfill My joy" (Philippians 2:2) says the Lord.

"In His pity He redeemed them; and He bore them and carried them all the days of old." (Isaiah 63:9).

Out of His divine love Jesus offered Himself on the cross for the sake of everyone of us (Ephesians 2:9). He loves you (Ephesians 5:2). His love is priceless. He knows all our hearts (Psalm 7:9, Jeremiah 17:10, Acts 1:24, 15:8, I John 3:20, Revelation 2:23).

When Jesus passed by the city of Jericho, Zacchaeus, being a short man climbed up a sycamore tree to have a better view of Jesus Christ in the crowd. But when Jesus approached this tree, He looked up and said, "Zacchaeus make haste and come down, for today, I must stay in your house." Immediately he climbed down and took Jesus to his house joyfully. Jesus offered redemption to his house (Luke 19:1-10).

"Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation" (Isaiah 12:3).

Our Lord is not a respector of persons (Acts 10:34). He will grant the wells of salvation to your family also. Just as He loves you, you love one another (John 15:12,17; I Peter 4:8). Let wives love their husbands, parents love their children, children show love and respect to elders and married people love and honour their respective in-laws. This is what the Lord expects from you. He looks at every one of us and tells, "I laid down My life for your sake, because I loved you so much .How much do you reflect to others, the love that you have received from me?" Because we observe that the people of the present day lack sincere and faithful love. (II Timothy 3:5). They look externally very pious and god-fearing but internally they are filled with pride, cunning nature, jealousy, hatred, haughtiness and all other evil nature.

My dear ones, those who read this passage, please meditate for a minute on how your life is today? The Lord Jesus wants to offer you a life filled with joy and happiness. "You be one minded, be of mutual love and be of understanding hearts and fulfill My joy" (Philippians 2:2) says the Lord to each and every one of us.

Prayer

Abba Father,

I praise and thank You for being the source of living water. You promised that whoever drinks of the water that You give will never thirst but the water will become a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. Help me today, to draw with joy from the well of salvation. Bless me with everlasting life in Your mercy. In Jesus' name I pray.

Amen
