GOD MAKES THE CROOKED WAY STRAIGHTSpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: Jesus Christ tells us, "My son/daughter, I am going before you. If you commit your life in My hands I will make your path straight." Commit and surrender your lives in the hands of the loving and compassionate God Jesus. The Lord says, 'I will go before you and make the crooked places straight" Isaiah 45:2. Only the Lord could make the crooked places straight. We can read of the nature of God in Romans 4:17. "...God who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did".
In what circumstances did the Almighty God come into this world?
When the sovereign God came into the world as an ordinary human-being, He appeared as a poor man. He came as one who had nothing and at the same time He could bring everything and anything that we need in our lives. He could fulfil all our needs (2 Corinthians 8:9). he is the one who declares that He would make the crooked places straight.
I was a little boy then. When I celebrated my birthday, the Lord God spoke to me through the spiritual gift He had endowed my father with. He said, "Paul, I place before you two different paths in this world. One is the path of a fish. The other is the path of a crab. You might have watched a fish moving straight in the water and a crab tracing a crooked path on the sand on the sea shore. I place these two paths before you. Which of these are you going to choose in your life? If you go by the straight path of the fish I would bless you. But if you prefer the crooked path of the crab to that of the path of fish, I cannot help you."
Yes, my beloved ones, in this earth two kinds of paths are set before us. The trials and tribulations that we face in this world force us often to follow the crooked path. when we yield to temptation and follow this crooked way, we will suffer missing the presence of God and His blessings. That is why Jesus Christ tells us, "My son\daughter, I am going before you. If you commit your life in My hands I will make your path straight." Commit and surrender your lives in the hands of the loving and compassionate God Jesus. Pray to Him to take care of you in this New Year. He will make your path straight, transform you into His likeness and bless you. your life will be pleasant and prosperous one this year.
"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the rights to become children of God, to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12).
It is not that He would give you the authority to become His children just this year only, but He would give you the right to be His child all your life time. He would make your path straight and lead you through the right path.
Prayer
My heavenly Father,
I commit and surrender my life into Your loving and compassionate hands. Please make all the crooked paths that are before me this day straight and help me to find joy in everything I do. May those problems which seem to be like mountains melt away in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Give me Your love and Your grace and that is enough for me. In Jesus' name I pray.
