You shall inherit the earth Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: "Arise, shine, for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you." This applies to you too. "For those who are blessed by Him (the Lord) shall inherit the earth...," says the Psalmist in Psalm 37:22. The Lord also says in Numbers 18:20: "I am your portion and your inheritance." Therefore proclaim, "The Lord is my portion and my everything." He is eager to bestow on you all the good things that you need.
In Judges, chapters 4 and 5, we find the Lord destines two good women to be His instruments in delivering the children of Israel from captivity. The Lord chooses Barak and speaks to him through prophetess Deborah to wage a war against Jabin, the oppressive King of Canaan. Barak makes it very clear to Deborah that he would go ahead in waging a war if and only if she accompanied him. Firm in her belief in the Lord and being deeply devoted to Him, Deborah says: "I will surely go with you; nevertheless there will be no glory for you in the mission you are about to undertake, for the Lord will sell Sisera (the commander of Jabin's army) into the hand of a woman."
This is how the Lord honoured two women! Firstly He gave Deborah the word to rouse Barak and pursue king Jabin. With the Lord's help, Barak puts Sisera to rout. Sisera flees from the battle field. Jael goes out to meet him. She gains his confidence and takes him into her tent. She gives the thirsty man some milk to drink and covers him with a blanket, ostensibly to hide him from his pursuers. Sisera thinks he is in safe hands and falls asleep. And Jael takes a tent peg and hammers it into his temple. This is how God blessed Jael with such glory by leaving Sisera captive and dead in her hands!
In Isaiah 60:1 , we read: "Arise, shine, for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you." This applies to you too. Yes, arise, dear sister, and shine! Hold the Lord's feet tight! The Lord will bestow His blessings on you. He will make you inherit the earth!
Prayer
Loving Lord,
I firmly believe that You are my portion and my strength. Please bless all the efforts that I undertake today. Let Your name alone be glorified in all that I do. Give me Your strength and grace to accomplish the tasks which You want me to do in this earth. Help me to inherit the earth as You have promised. In Jesus' matchless name I pray.
