God's GlorySpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: When the glory of the Lord dwells in you, He will be glorified through you. His glory will be revealed to others through you. He will reply all the prayer appeals, giving you more than you desire and ask for. He will bless you abundantly. When our Lord Jesus walked about on this earth, He went to Capernaum; immediately a large crowd of people gathered together around Him in a house. And He preached the word to them (Mark 2:2); at that time four people carried a paralytic to Him. When they found it impossible to approach Jesus through the entrance of the overcrowded house, they uncovered the roof where Jesus was. And when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven you, I say to you, arise, take up your bed and go your way to your house". And immediately he arose, took up the bed and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this" (Mark 2:4-12). Again, we read, "So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel." (Matthew 15:31)
Nearly three lakh people, irrespective of caste, creed or race gather at the Jesus Calls Good News Meeting, everyday. When we preach, according to the guidance of God, God's words pierce through the thronging crowd with the sure certainty of the Holy Spirit. At the closing prayer session, God in all His glory comes down and demonstrates His power. He heals the incurable diseases, moulds new parts of the body, and makes even the people carried in stretches jump up into joy and walk. He drives away the devils that flee shrieking out. The gathered people experience numberless miracles.
At the end of the Meeting, when those who relished miracles in the name of Jesus, share their miraculous experiences, the whole assemblage glorified God, clapping their hands. This is always a wondrous scenario. God Himself performs signs and wonders among people and makes them glorify Him.
"Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in Him. If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and glorify Him immediately." (John 13:31,32)
In Jesus, God, the Father was glorified. God's glory shone through Jesus Christ, who Himself was glorified because of that. That glory shines when people in response to all the good things they have received from Him hail His glory.
Dear friend, when God's glory is in us, He will be glorified in us and that glory will be revealed through us. He will reply all the prayer appeals, giving us more than we desire and ask for. He will bless us. Shall we give all the glory, today itself, thinking over all His good deeds done to us, one by one?
Prayer:
Gracious Heavenly Father,
You are Holy. You alone are worthy of glory, honour and praise. Remove all my weakness and grant me new strength. I recollect the entire blessing and great things that You have done in my life and give You all the glory. Make me an instrument through which Your glory will pass on to others. I give You all the glory. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray.
Amen. |
