Strength of PhysiqueSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: Do you lament saying, "Will my disease vanish? Will I receive complete healing? Be not dismayed. Our Lord who is full of love and compassion is ready to heal all your sickness. The Lord will give strength to His people (Psalms 29:11). “The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people (Psalms 68:35).
When Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, on the Sabbath, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity for eighteen years; she had a hunched back and she could not raise her bent back up. Jesus called her to Him and said: “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity, And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight and glorified God’’ (Luke 13:10-13).
In those days, when Brother Dhinakaran was working in a Bank and doing our Lord’s ministry at the same time, I went to a particular town along with him, where elders in that region had arranged an evening prayer meeting. The whole ground (Venue of the meeting) was over flowing with people. With great difficulty Brother Dhinakaran had to be escorted to the dais, through the thronging people. All of a sudden, a sister came on his way and held on to his legs, weeping. Immediately Brother laid his hands on her head, praying; “Lord wipe away this sister’s tears; bless her, then he went on, hastily, to the stage. The next day was a Sunday and a Bishop had invited him for lunch. When we went to the Bishop’s house, a sister came running and joyously told him; “Sir, I am the one who clasped your feet yesterday. Please excuse me! My right hand joint had been dislocated and I was in an unbearable agony; that is why, I seized the opportunity to detain you; your little prayer and healed me completely. Now I have no pain at all.’’ To prove her healing, she showed her hand, which she could freely raise up and down. She glorified God who had wiped away her tears.
The same God is what He is (I am who I am) to give us complete healing in our bodies too, despite the longevity of our disease.
Prayer
Gracious Heavenly Father,
You are the heavenly healer. Remove all my weakness and strengthen me. Heal all physical sickness and grant me Your peace and happiness. Make my life to bloom. I believe that there is nothing impossible for You. I thank You for hearing my humble praying and going to answer me. In Jesus' wonderful name, I pray.
