Your will or God's willSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: Submit yourselves to God's will and lean on Him at times of all your needs and problems. You will see miracles in your life. There is nothing impossible for Him. Surely, He will do wonders in your life. Sometimes in our lives many of our plans go wrong and we end up with numerous problems around us. To confront life with all its problems is quite a big task. No one can do it all by their own.
Jesus said, "No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you." (John 15:15)
There was a girl of sterling character, who lived in a good Christian home. She was beautiful, educated, modest and God-fearing. But her parents had no money to get her married on time. As she was growing old, her parents shed tears in their agony and distress. They saw many others of their daughter's age happily getting settled in marriage. That god-fearing girl, submitted herself wholly in God's hands. She kept herself away from the worldly gossips and scandal and committed herself totally at the will of God. She was not anxious about anything. God was her strength. She was not in the least ruffled by all the gossip and scandal that went around her. A certain man who came home from abroad on leave whose parents looked for a suitable bride for him came to know the excellent qualities of this girl through a friend. They approached her parents and sought her in marriage for their son. They had money in plenty. All they wanted was a lady of good character who could look after their son. The marriage was settled in no time and the bridegroom's parents arranged a most colourful wedding. This is no story, but a real life incident.
Dear friend, the Lord who granted such a wonderful blessing to that sister can do it also for you today. Whatever He does will be splendid! Do not be obstinate that the Lord should lead you in the ways that you have chosen. He would not come down to fulfill your self-willed choice. He is the Lord who created the whole universe. He knows what is good for you. He has said, "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways" (Isaiah 55:8).
Submit yourselves to His will and lean on Him at times of all your needs and problems. You will see miracles in your life. There is nothing impossible for Him. Surely, He will do wonders in your life. Draw close to the Lord Jesus Christ. He alone is your anchor! The closer you cling to Him the more precious will be the blessings you will experience in your life. May the Lord lead you by His hand!
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
I surrender myself at Your holy feet and plead You to lead me according to Your will. Let not what pleases me happen in my life, but let my life be the way You want me to live. Let my deed, speech, walk and everything I do on this earth be ever pleasing at Your sight and let it be according to Your holy will. Make me a living testimony so that I can glorify Your name. In Jesus' name, I pray.
