God Knows Our Way

Speaker: Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran

Gist: Our Lord is seated in Heaven; but He is always concerned about you. He knows your situation and comes to help you when the problems in this world surround you and makes your heart beat uncontrollably. He understands you better.

Job, the saint of God, rightly said, "He knows the way that I take" (Job 23:10).

Are you in a dilemma, which way to take? Are you in confusion, where to go? Friend, the way may be new to you, not for the Lord. He knows the way that you have to take. Like a loving father, the moment you become His child, He takes upon Himself the entire responsibility to lead you. He assures you, "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows" (Luke 12:7).

Long before the world was created, He has determined for you the way along which you have to walk. Our God has divided a channel for the overflowing water, and a path for the thunderbolt (Job 38:25).

"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth." (Matthew 28:18)
"Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!" (Romans 11:33)

I once read an interesting incident in a magazine. The Russian scientists sent two monkeys in a spaceship along with astronauts. One was named, 'YEROSHA' meaning 'Troublemaker'; the other was called 'DROYOMA' which means 'Sluggish'. Having sent them up in space, the scientists were watching them through the computer. Suddenly, one scientist exclaimed, "Hey! The name board we had tied to the forehead of YEROSHA is not to be seen." At once a message was sent to the astronauts in the spaceship. When they checked up, they saw that the monkey had untied the cable with which its left arm had been tied. With the free hand, it had thrown away the name board on its forehead. The scientists wondered why it had done so. One of them had given a clear explanation, "Its heartbeat, which should be 70, has risen to 200. Consequently, the temperature of its body should also have shot up. Unable to bear it, the monkey should have acted in that manner." It is amazing that scientists here on earth can know using their gadgets the heartbeat and the temperature of a monkey travelling in a spaceship several thousands of miles away, up in the sky!

Look at our gracious Lord Jesus! He is there high up in Heaven (Psalm 115:3). King David says, "I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God" (Psalm 40:17).

My dear friend, you may say out of too much sorrow, "My heart keeps pounding within me!" A sister once complained of bitter pain. She said, "My husband has left me. My heartbeat rises up at the sight of his photograph."

But God assures you, "Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you" (Isaiah 49:15). He knows your situation and He is always concerned about you. He will never forget you. He will surely come to your help. He will wipe away all your tears and lead you along paths to fresh pastures. Be not dismayed!

Prayer:

Most Loving Heavenly Father,

My heart beats faster and higher when I confront problems in this world. I am left all alone without knowing which way to take. Lord, help me to take the way that You have already chosen for me. Lead me everyday in the way You want me to live and take me to fresh paths. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray.

Amen.
