No More DarknessSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: The Lord will bring you to light from darkness. The sacrifices you have made for God and what you give to the Lord would never go in vain. Certainly, His presence would remove the darkness found in your life. Many times, we are tormented by darkness that surrounds our lives. The Psalmist calls it the 'shadow of death' (Psalm 23:4). Likewise, we are afflicted by the darkness of 'lacking' in our lives and families. We deeply grieve the darkness such as childlessness, financial crises, unemployment and lack of love. Not only that. Even the darkness of 'weakness' takes hold of our body. But if God is with us, He can deliver us from all these darkness.
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." (Psalm 23:4)
Accordingly, when the shadow of death encompasses, we feel dejected. I have gone through such darkness many times in my life. At such times, the Lord's rod and staff would certainly comfort us, if He is with us. If you are going through the same path through which I have gone, cheer up! Let not your heart be troubled. Even amidst the valley of the shadow of death, the Lord Jesus, King of kings and the Lord of Lords will be with us; He would comfort us. He will bring us to light from darkness (Isaiah 42:16;58:10; 2 Samuel 22:29; Psalm 18:28).
Lord Jesus Christ offered Himself as a sacrifice on the cross to redeem us from darkness and to make us the children of light (1 Thessalonians 5:5). Dear friend, you must be delivered from this evil named 'darkness'.
"Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed" (John 8:36). Accordingly, God would certainly grant you deliverance. Kindly read 1 Corinthians 16:23, "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you."
Repeatedly ask God, "Lord, give me this grace". He will remove all the darkness from you. As we read in Luke 13:12, He would deliver you from the darkness of physical weakness, and also from the darkness of sin (Colossians 1:13). Then He will make you shine before others like the children of light (Matthew 5:16) and build up your broken heart and your family life, which are engulfed by darkness.
All of a sudden, the head of a particular family died. When he died, he had no savings. His wife was much worried about her children's future. She felt depressed and said, "Woe, I could see only darkness before my eyes when I think of my children's future. Is it possible for me to escape from this?" God heard her groaning and consoled her, saying, "Daughter, I am with you; I will not forsake you". Since then, she committed herself totally into His hands, to be guided by Him, and she waited patiently. One day, her late husband's friend came in search of her. He told her, "Sister, when I suffered, your husband lent me a huge amount even without getting my signature. At that time, I suffered very much, Now, with the help of that money, I am living in prosperity. The reason for this is your husband. But, he gave all his savings to me and left you in this condition. When I came to know about your state, I have come to return that money. Kindly take it from me". Then he handed over the money to her. The mother and her children knelt down before the Lord in gratitude, for His loving care. God removed darkness from that family and filled it with brightness.
My dear friend, the Bible says, "Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days." (Ecclesiastes 11:1)
Accordingly, if you think about the goodness that God has done in your life, He would bring you to light from darkness. The sacrifices you have made for God and what you give to God would never go in vain. Certainly, His presence would remove the darkness found in your personal life as well as in your home.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
I thank You for all the blessings that You have showered on me and my dear ones. Lord, I know that the faith and trust that I place on You will never go waste. The Holy Scripture says that You are the light of this world. I believe with all my heart that You will surely lead me away from all the darkness that engulfs me, into the light of Your presence. I love You, Lord Jesus. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray.
Amen. |
