His Presence - The Precious Treasure

Speaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran

Gist: If there is any precious treasure that you have got to receive today, then it is the presence of God. His presence shatters all evil plans that are working against you. Cry out for the presence of God!

We see that the Lord was present with Joseph all the time. When Joseph was cast into the dungeon the Lord was with him (Genesis 39:21-23).

What happens when the Lord is with us? In 1 Samuel 2:8, the Bible says, "He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the beggar from the ash heap, to set them among princes and make them inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and He has set the world upon them."

He makes the poor to rise from the dust and makes him inherit the honourable throne. How can we experience the presence of God at all times? The Lord Jesus says, "He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him" (John 8:29).

See the life of Jesus! Whatever happened in His life and whatever situation He had to face, He said, "This is My Father's will. Let Me take everything as My Father's will. He sent Me to this world to do His will. So whatever happens to Me, it all happens by the will of God." In Hebrews 10:7,9, Jesus said, "I have come to do Your will, O God!" He was ready to do the will of the Father even unto death. Philippians 2:8,9 says, "He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death." In Matthew 26:42, Jesus cries out in distress in the Garden of Gethsamane, "My soul is grieved unto death. O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done." Jesus accepted it as God's will and obeyed instantly. That was why, God exalted Him and gave Him the Throne.

Today, in our daily lives, things happen that shatters our hearts. But when we say, "It all happens by the will of God" and continue to lead a life which is pleasing to the Lord, the presence of the Lord will be with us.

I know a person who worked as an accountant in a bank. There was another officer there who was three grades higher to him in the hierarchy. This officer would always burden this accountant with a lot of work. But he himself would leave the bank at three in the evening and go home drinking. On the other hand, the accountant would have to slog from eight in the morning throughout the night and sometimes till three of next morning. If he comes late to the office the next day, the officer would ask him, "Why have you come late?" He would reply, "Sir, I worked till three in the morning." For this he would say, "All that is old story. I am talking about today. Why did you come late now?" Like this, he would torment the accountant. But this accountant was a man of God, who loved God and was always filled with the presence of God. So he would never talk back, but would continue to work hard. He would submit all his sorrows at the feet of Jesus. The Lord watched everything. The accountant got many promotions and a day came when the officer was to report to this man of God.

"If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31)

If there is any precious treasure that you have got to receive today, then it is the presence of God. His presence shatters all the plans of man which arise against you. So, my friend, cry for the presence of God! When He is present with you, surely He will exalt you.

Prayer:

Loving Heavenly Father,

Thank You for giving me the privilege to be called Your child. I surrender my life into Your hands and pray, Father, let Your will alone be done in my life. I know that You always have the best in store for me . Help me to overcome all thoughts that struggle in my mind against Your will. Fill me with Your Holy presence and make me Your temple. I give You all the glory and pray in Jesus' name.

Amen.
