His name is WonderfulSpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: Jesus came to this world only to perform wonders in your lives and prosper you. Even today, He lives with you as a miracle manifest in your life. He will prove His power today. He loves you. We can see an adequate explanation of one of the many names given to God: 'Wonderful' in Judges 13:18, Manoah and his wife were childless. One day the Angel of the Lord appeared before them. When they asked him, "What is Your name?" He said "It is wonderful." He spoke to them marvelous words.
"And the Angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her, 'Indeed now, you are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and bear a son.'" (Judges 13:3)
In a wonderful manner, He ascended in the flame of the altar (v.20). As promised by Him, the Lord so wonderfully gave them a son and blessed them (v.24).
Yes dear friend, as said in Romans 4:17 and 1 Corinthians 1:28, the birth of the Lord Jesus was wonderful. He was conceived in a virgin's womb (Mathew 1:18-23). There was wonder evident in His birth. He died and was buried;Yet, on the third day He arose (Romans 4:24; Matthew 28:2,6). His birth and resurrection still remain great wonders.
Look at His ministry! He was mighty in word and in deed. He raised alive Lazarus four days after his death (John 11:43). At the wedding at Cana, when they ran short of wine, He made water into wine (John 2:1-11). He mulitplied five loaves and two fishes and fed five thousand men (Matthew 14:19).
Even today He chooses the feeble and the foolish to perform wonders. "The base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are." (1 Corinthians 1:28) "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)
Friend, do you blame yourself saying, "I am feeble and foolish, poor and lowly"? Grieve not! Jesus came to this world only to perform wonders in your lives and prosper you. Even today, He lives with you as a miracle manifest in your life (John 14:13,14). He will prove that even today He has the power to perform miracles in your life. He loves you.
A few months ago, a certain young man from Kerala came and told me in much pain, "Sir, I am not yet married. I am growing old. I have no peace of mind. No one cares for me. Is there no future for me?" I embraced him and prayed with him with much burden, "Lord, this is Your son who lives in loneliness. You alone are His Heavenly Father. Please assume all responsibility of his life. Choose for him a suitable partner in life." A few weeks later, he again came to Chennai to see me. He showed me a ring and said, "Brother please pray over it." I asked him, "What for?" He said, "The Lord has chosen a bride for me. Tomorrow we are getting engaged. So, I brought this ring for your prayers and blessings." Very happily I I prayed for him. The day after marriage, the husband and wife came to the Prayer Tower and they continue to be our ardent partners. I praise the Lord for them.
What a wonderful God we have! Be not dismayed, my friend. He will perform great miracles for you and make you rejoice.
Prayer:
Most Gracious and Loving Heavenly Father,
As Your name says, You are Wonderful. Thank You for loving me Lord. I praise You for being with me and strengthening me whenever I am weak. I praise You because You are going to perform wonders and miracles in my life. I praise and thank You, because You have already taken control of my life into Your mighty hands. In Jesus' matchless name, I pray.
Amen. |
