The Lord who ExaltsSpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: Jesus desires to transform your life in the same manner as He transformed mine. And He wants to exalt you higher. Commit your life in His hand. He will bless you. Before I came to Christ, I was a total failure in my life. My father would introduce me in Good News meetings as a very good son given to him by God. But only I knew what I was. Everyone began detesting me. None of my relatives would invite me to their homes; Nor would my friend's parents allow me in their homes, out of fear that I would spoil their children. My father, Bro.D.G.S.Dhinakaran was transforming the youth for Christ. But I was transforming them for the devil.
In this miserble state, when I cried to Christ one night, He came into my heart. He washed me with His sacred blood. I retired to bed in peace and with great joy. The next day dawned. All my old sinful bad habits had dropped. I became a new creature. Then I began to pray: "Lord, now I am Your child. Please be with me. I have never attended my classes till now. All my subject matter is new and unknown to me. Teach me every lesson in my textbooks. The Bible says: 'In You are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.' (Colossians 2:3). So, please come and sit by my side as my Friend." I wrote all my papers and passed my Degree examinations. To me who had been a total failure before was given a Gold Medal at the convocation for my distinction in a particular subject. God then gave me grace to recieve the M.B.A. and Ph.D. Degrees from Madras University. I was the first to be awarded the Ph.D. Degree in Business Management. To such an extent, the Lord exalted me!
"God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty." (1 Corinthians 1:27)
My dear freind, God exalts His children. He made me prosper in my spiritual life also. That was all because, after I came to Christ, during the lunch interval, I would go to the College Chapel every noon, and without feeling shy before former friends I used to pray, "Lord, now you alone are my Friend. Help me. Set me on eminent stations in this world. Be exalted within me. That is enough for me."
Moreover, God blessed my family life as well. I did not choose my partner in life. I did not go and see any bride. My eyes looked up to Jesus alone. I said that He knew all my needs. At the right time, God gave me a beloved wife. Now He has also given me three beloved children. I am just an ordinary man like you. But I have given pre-eminence to Jesus in my life. The Holy Spirit is my Friend. That is why Jesus honours me now.
"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Mathew 6:33)
My dear friend, if you first seek the Kingdom of God , then God will honour you in your family life, in your secular life and also in your spiritual life. The Lord desires to transform your life in the same manner as He transformed mine. And He wants to use you in a supernatural manner in His ministry. Let not your heart be troubled. Commit your life wholly in His hand. He will bless you.
Prayer:
Most precious and loving Lord Jesus,
I commit myself completely in Your wonder-working, amazing hands. Wash and cleanse me with Your blood and make me pure and spotless. Transform my life and make it ever pleasing to You. Please exalt me also by blessing all that I do. Lord, let me not take any decision in my life with my own wordly knowledge; but let Your will alone be done in my life from this day on. Grant me Your grace and wisdom and guide me in Your ways. I praise and thank You for hearing my prayer.
